Obaidallah Hospital Maintenance Works Almost Accomplished

Dr. Mohammed Rashid, Director General of Obaidallah Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, stated that about 80% of the hospital’s maintenance is almost done whereas the old nutrition will be demolished to be replaced with another location in the new building.

Rashid emphasized that the new project is currently implemented by the Ministry of Public Works while all the renovations of the out-patient clinics, laboratory, men and women psychiatry, laparoscopic department, hospital’s main building, heart laboratory, intensive care unit and meeting hall.

Stated by the hospital’s director, the maintenance works in the internal medicine and women inpatient wards, medical records and pharmacy are still going on while works in both x-ray department and heart ICU will be completed soon.

The project covers the front and outside facilities of the hospital including removal of the maintenance and electricity buildings in Saif Bin Ghobash Hospital, installation of a new roof and fixation of roof’s cracks. “We also finished transferring water tanks from their places to be connected to the hospital while the maintenance of the external garden has been kept in the hospital’s new building.

The total cost of the maintenance works of Obaidallah and Saqr Ghobash hospitals reached Dhs 3 million and work is expected to be completed next May.
