9200 Ministry of Health Employees Receive Salary Increase

About 9200 employees in the Ministry of Health will receive a 35% salary increase to be calculated from the basic salary for special grades, first till six. Employees on grades seven till fourteen will receive a basic salary increase of 45% to be added to the transportation allowance.

Doctors, technicians and nurses, in addition the mentioned increase, will receive another technical allowance with a 100% increase to be added to the work nature allowance in the ministry. The mentioned technical increase includes 1509 local doctors, 1093 expat doctors, 1779 local technicians and 459 expat technicians. About 1091 local and 4690 expat nurses will receive the technical increase too.

Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Acting Minister of Health, lauded the grant of His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President to the employees of the federal government especially the ministry’s staff.

His Excellency said: “His Excellency said: “The grant comes in a precious occasion for all of us i.e the UAE 40th national day which fills our hearts with joy, happiness and glory. Such an increase encourages us all to make greater efforts in the development and progress process for our country”.

“The UAE 40th national day is coincides with the 40th anniversary of the federation; the ceremony embodies the loyalty and belongingness to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their highnesses members of the supreme council and rulers of the emirates”, he elaborated. His Excellency Al Owais stated that the technical increase for all doctors has a positive impact on all the qualified human resources.

The ministry specified Dhs 100 million and Dhs 883 thousand for 848 positions for medical and technical staff to fulfill the needs of 7 hospitals in Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Um Al Qiwain, Shaam, Fujairah and Dibba.

Furthermore, Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Practices and Licensing, said: “The grant embodies the interests of our wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for providing excellent healthcare services for UAE locals and residents”.

Dr. Mahmoud Fikri, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Policies, stated that the grant coincides with the national day and this is not strange on the government’s humanitarian deeds. The increase given by His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will include doctors, nurses, pharmacists who work very hard, under responsibility and pressure all the time.

Engineer Khalid Lootah, Assistant Undersecretary for Institutional and Supporting Services, said: “The technical increase will include medical and nursing staff that provides treatment therapy in the ministry’s hospitals and primary healthcare centers”.

Nasser Khelifa Al Budoor, Undersecretary for International Relations, said: “The decision of His Highness Sheikh Khelifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President to increase the salaries of the federal ministries pleased all the employees. The UAE’s federal government makes all efforts to provide a stable life for all locals and expats noting that the increasing living standards had negative impacts on a number of families and no doubt the increase will eliminate the financial and social burdens on lots of families.
