His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Acting Minister of Health, met with His Excellency Daniel Bahr, Health Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany and a number of representatives and German states who are participating the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition.

His Excellency Al Owais stated that the United Arab Emirates has become an attractive investment environment in all fields especially the healthcare sector thanks to the wise leadership and UAE federal government. He also lauded the consolidated relationships between the two countries noting that they are extended over the years.

His Excellency also mentioned that the cooperation fields are open for all the societies to enhance the healthcare sector in the country especially in the fields of health and medical researches, training, continuous medical education, patients’ care, the availability of medicines and reasonable drugs prices.

Al Owais also called for more cooperation between both sides in providing healthcare services for all categories and supporting UAE nationals who receive treatment in Germany during their presence there.

Furthermore, His Excellency Daniel Bahr, Health Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, expressed welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude for the bilateral relations between the two countries. The German delegation included 20 members representing various health sectors in Germany.

Additionally, His Excellency Al Owais also met with Her Excellency Corneila Prufer Storcks, Minister of Health and Consumer Protection in Hamburg State and her accompanied delegation members from various industry, commerce and hospitals administration fields.

The two delegations discussed common relations between the two health ministries in Hamburg and UAE and their cooperation in the healthcare field, medical researches and disease control. They also discussed available health services in Berlin, Bavaria and Saxon.

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais also met with zaidan Abu Essa, General Manager for Gulf States & Levant –Pfizer biopharmaceutical operations who discussed societal partnerships between the public and private sectors in healthcare field, pharmaceutical industry and social responsibilities towards UAE nationals and residents.
